Career focused. Social media sucks now.

We are all getting older. As years passed by, I care less about the constant reliance to social media or rants. I took my vices off of my fatty-fat 30-something tattoo-covered body. Glad I do. I use the interweb for my animal loving/art/music likes, selective clientele and personal communications. I care more about real activity and hands-on activities. Social media sucks nowadays. Every business/celebrity/vlogger/blogger/fashionsta or wannabe pro accounts buys their social following, with a content that is either too common, highly edited, or stolen ideas elsewhere. Nobody knows what is legit anymore because more followers are more cool to them. "Pro" credentials falls to this mad fad. I salute old school tactics, un-cool, and real people. D.A., YOU ARE MISSED! I am still the same, just multi colored hair. Or maybe fatter. But that doesn't matter.
I have been delighted to find solace at Deviantart, as the time has been selfish for me to update this space o' mine. But as an artist, I am always pre-occupied passionately and blessed abundantly with makeup work and projects. I run my official website www.debimendez.com , and my private page at Instagram www.instagram.com/thear… (most of my clients are in Instagram as in the Middle East, it is used for business or portfolio) where I mostly update all my makeup, activities, and art works. Do visit them if you have time. Above all that, the most happiest thing a person can ever achieve is to be married to someone they love. On October 29, 2014, after 5 years of being together, I got married to my best friend, Kris Bilae. True, "not all those who wander are lost". Love will always come on the right place and the right time. But all of us have to accept trials, to reach all positive outcome. To be strong is key. And pure dedication.
We are all entitled to use our brains wisely. To sham away negative energy, the act of being human or to represent living life to living things everyday should be our goal. On our daily lives, we should ask ourselves our purpose.... no matter what religion, skin, or nation we are in. Our gifts lent to us will always have a purpose. I have been also active with charity work. Despite the schedule, my first charity work was 2010 which is an art show for a F.O.P. diagnosed friend of mine named "Charis Ramirez" www.facebook.com/chari…, with all the donations given to her for her new chair as her condition immobilize her due to extra bones growing, while the 2nd one, was for those that need in Gaza, Palestine hosted by "Reach out to Asia" by providing 10 makeup class vouchers worth 418$. And now, I will be conducting makeup classes for a group of women called "Sumaisma girls", in order to help them. Hopefully, percentage of the money goes to animal shelter as I am aware of today's society abandoning animals like toys. Sometimes, it is hard to be human. Will be planning more future charity work for the aged, the forgotten, the hungry, and the homeless. Nobody deserves to be alone.
I hope all of you are well. No matter what circumstances we all face, letting the light shine on our path is the only way to succeed.

Hello everyone. I have been quite busy and I am sorry for abandoning D.A. (A little bit perhaps). But I have not considered deleting my D.A.
Anyways, I have had changes in my career. I am officially a freelance makeup artist. It has been a fruitful beginning and empowering journey. Working in MAC has been one of the most greatest achievements I have ever reached; fulfilling my dreams of doing makeup for the local and Hollywood vvip s/celebrities. Yet it is time for me to take a step further to give more time for both personal life and open opportunities ahead. I am open for freelance work. "CALLING THE ATTENTION OF ALL ARTISTS."
...............the republicans. the senates. THE NATION.
Hi. Greetings to all of you. My sincerity and gratitude no longer can express it's highest level of how truly thankful I am for your continuation of ever long support in my art, and as well as your contribution to today's existence where in you work with your credibility, and continually share your enormous talents to the society no matter what the field, level, structure, medium, or genre is. Your hands are entitled to use your gifts wisely. But yes, YOU & I have a mission to accomplish. I believe all beings are sent to their destined worlds with a greater purpose. And one of them is to help those who are in need.
My friends, this is not the time to encore the wants of our soul, mingle what latest trends are, which paintings to sell, how sex sells while every sex gender takes part on crusading their private body parts through exposure, how great is thy money, who to date, what music to seek, what arms to battle with in war for mass destruction, or what religion you call for deliverance. Do not allow your ego to be a detrimence and do away with thy boastfulness to take control of thy power. Given is thy power, so extend thy initiative to help others in need for there are withered flocks of lost souls, and those that suffer in the plague of un-cureable known or unknown diseases. criminal acts or negativity oppositions the discrimination of different sexual genders be it by choice or not, is as vile as a knife stabbing the heart of your forefathers. such hypocrisy and hatred only leads to destroy a man-on-man life cycle. what do we get in return after all the violence, the blood, and bombs? nothing. sadly, this new world only succumbs to entertainment and money. perhaps drown yourself with luxury,too. this kind of news are only appealing to those that care about life.
Reality does revolve around us. For NOTHING is ours. We are just borrowers of this land. If a man is in his normal state while he claims about his "normality", he should understand in order for his soul and importance to take place, he should fully submit to his quest of accomplishing his obligations in life, and the society among us.
What if one day we woke up, everything on Earth and the universe trembles in the aftermath of Armageddon? Or what about if our loved ones are no longer a part of our lives (which we always hope not), or if we are experiencing the reign of "abnormalities" within us either spiritually or physically as our souls battle while our body parts are missing? Have you ever asked yourself that?
A friend of mine named "Charis Ramirez" is currently diagnosed w/ FOP. Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) (often refered to "th is a rare genetic ailment w/c consists of bones forming into soft body tissues & connective tissues. Gradually turns the body into stone. As of now, there is no cure. There are approx. 700 reports of victims of this rare disease.
I made "Charis + FOP AWARENESS" FB page for her and to help those who are affected with FOP. (includes pictures, articles, and information about FOP as well)

The goal of this message is simple: TO REACH OUT TO YOUR HEARTS. TO OPEN UP ONCE MORE IN LENDING YOUR TALENTS FOR A CAUSE.
In order to spread the awareness about FOP, I am calling the attention of all artists to help me in this mission, as well as my friend Charis Ramirez, and the many victims who are diagnosed with the disease by creating artworks related to FOP disease.
I have been browsing and collecting artworks that are based on FOP. I was happy that I found some but I was sad because they were only a few of them. By creating FOP-THEMED artworks, it will really help people to be aware of this rare disease which will also help in the future by spreading the message.
WHAT IS FOP?
Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), sometimes referred to as Stone Man Syndrome, is an extremely rare disease of the connective tissue. A mutation of the body's repair mechanism causes fibrous tissue (including muscle, tendon, and ligament) to be ossified when damaged. In many cases, injuries can cause joints to become permanently frozen in place. Surgical removal of the extra bone growths has been shown to cause the body to "repair" the affected area with more bone.(www.google.com)
April 23 is "F.O.P.(FIBRODYSPLASIA OSSIFICANS PROGRESSIVA) " AWARENESS DAY. Up to this day, we still have 194 days in order to create artworks based on the so-called rare disease. There is no limit of medium required in order for you to make an artwork. (be it traditional, artisan, digital art, or photography)
