Janis Lyn Joplin a.k.a. "Pearl" is the "Queen of Rocking The Blues", "Queen of Rock & Roll", & the "Queen of Psychedelic Soul". The way she croons in her blues while barefoot, is what made me adore her for she has shaped the women of soul music industry. Author Megan Terry claimed that Joplin was the female version of Elvis Presley in her ability to captivate an A member of the "27 club", I pity her for not coming clean & for allowing depression, booze, and too much drugs in her life. But, I as an artist, is thankful that she has turned her pain into beautiful music. The power of her voice & and her soul of blues has definetely left a tattooed mark in the planet.
